Blog Hosting
Bloggers are using their websites for various purposes but all are basically letting their own voice be heard on the web. Many are discovering that blogs can be whatever its writer wants it to be. It can be a personal diary, a collaborative space or a breaking-news outlet. Some have even chosen blogs as their venue for their private thoughts which they dare not share to people closest to them. The relevance of a blog is largely determined by the value of its contents as seen by the reader. The all-important information contained in one may be trash to another, unless the information contained in the blog touches on a universal aspect. In which case, the blog acquires the much sought after attention of users and eventually establishes a name for itself especially if the quality of the content responsible for its success is consistently maintained.
With the phenomenal increase in the number of blogs since it first began, many web page publishing and syndication service providers are offering blog hosting usually for free. This allows users to quickly share information such as news, reviews, journals, diaries, photos and of course blogs. Weblog softwares which consist of a specialized form of content management system are specifically designed for creating and maintaining blogs. User-hosted software packages are installed by weblog authors to run on their own systems. Some software packages are offered under a free or open-source software license which allows everyone to its use, often with commercial support contract. Proprietary software packages are licensed under a commercial license which requires payment of a fee in order to be used. Developer-hosted software services are operated by the developer with no software installation required for the weblog author.
