With the proliferation of all kinds of blogs in the Internet, making one stand out among the rest presents its unique challenges.  There are a number of strategies that can be employed to properly market and optimize a blog.  However, these strategies should be backed up by knowledge, creativity and lots of time.

Other effective strategies include submitting RSS Feeds and blog URL to prominent directories and search engines, engaging in a continuous link building campaign, submitting to Podcast and Vlog directories and submitting to paid directories with categories for blogs.  Maximizing the potentials of any blog is essentially about making its presence felt and providing value and relevance to its users.  This would require regular posting, the frequency of which would depend on the nature of the contents of the blog.  Responding to comments on one’s blog and thanking another blogger for any reference made to one’s blog are little courtesies that would go a long way in establishing good connections and valuable online relationships.
