Some Useful Widgets

TypePad widgets are a piece of content or functionality provided by a third party that can be placed in the siderail of a TypePad blog.  It is a snippet of HTML and/or JavaScript that can be managed like any other sidebar content module on one’s blog.  The TypePad Widget Gallery lists all currently available widgets.  Anyone can subscribe to the new widgets feed to be kept up-to-date on new widgets.

WordPress widgets basically break down the sidebar in themes, into discrete blogs of goodness and created an interface that will allow for addition, deletion and rearrangement by simply dragging and dropping.  Widgets provide the basic features like search, categories, and pages with more features coming based on user’s requests.  The feedback link can be used to get across personal requirements for possible future integration.

WidgetBox widgets can respond to blog posts and website content.  Its widget panel lets the user drag and drop widgets onto a special panel in the blog, which does not necessitate dealing with widget installation.  WidgetBox is both a directory of web widgets and a system that helps in managing installed widget simply and quickly.  There are a lot of other choices.  Bloggers can simply look into them and determine for themselves what would work best for their blogs.
