Famous Bloggers

A blogger is the author of a blog.  Some bloggers have managed to attain widespread influence, controversy or media presence that in effect made them famous.  There are also people already categorized as famous, notable and significant that are likewise considered bloggers for having blogs of their own.

Notwithstanding the success of many bloggers in the activity, there are some misconceptions that have to be corrected so as to minimize the disappointments of would-be bloggers.  One of this is the financial gain and popularity that is expected to be derived from blogging.  Being rich or famous due to blogging is but a bonus for maintaining a blog that has given value to its readers in terms of content.

Blogging is also not an easy task.  It requires hours of writing each week and frequent tweaking of blogs.  Expectations as to the amount of traffic enjoyed by the site should be realistic.  There are very few blogs that manage to have a thousand visitors in a year in spite of a few that were able to fare much better in a shorter span of time.  A big number of blogs become inactive usually after 3 months either due to the inability to come up with consistently fresh postings or the inability to provide the time to continuously develop the site.

Getting a blog either through the free or paid options is the easiest part.  Selecting blogging software may present some challenge due to the vast range of choices but the real challenge lies in writing.  A blogger basically needs to write and learn.  It may be a pretty steep curve towards becoming a decent blogger but learning is accelerated when blogging is regularly done.
